Qi Gong
Qi Gong therapy is form of active self manipulation in which the individual performs a series of movements or postures in order to realign the body, and correct circulation imbalances or deficiencies. It is important that specific detail be placed on proper alignment and concentration on the area being exercised. This therapy requires that the individual engages in a regular routine with the appropriate amount of repetitions per week or day for the course of the treatment. In some cases the movements are done with resistance in order to signal the body to rehabilitate damaged or atrophied areas.
Qi Gong is not only used for the rehabilitation of injury but it can encompass a wider variety of other internal disorders as well such as: anxiety, stress, poor concentration as well as regulation of a variety of organic systems.
One of the greatest benefits of Qi Gong is that the individual has the ability to perform self regulation without outside help, provided they understand the dynamic they are in need of.
